50 year anniversary celebrations for Class of 1974

The evening of Friday 11th October marked the milestone 50-Year Reunion for 28 former pupils from the Class of 1974, who gathered together in the Pavilion at Old Anniesland to celebrate this special anniversary.

Having bid farewell to our former boys’ school situated at Elmbank Street over fifty years ago, the group enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with one another, to share memories of their school days and reignite old friendships.

The reunion was organised by Class of 1974 former pupils Scott Inglis, W Seith Ireland, Pawan Sood and Graham Taylor, with some guests making the trip from further afield, including from southern England and even Italy!

Former High School parent, Sandy Kennedy, supplied the evening’s meal, which consisted of a delicious three-course menu with various delectable options for each course.

Commenting on the night, Scott Inglis said “Memories flowed effortlessly of staff, friends and alleged sporting, musical and theatrical triumphs! The Old Anniesland Pavilion was beautifully decorated by the School’s External Relations Team along with relevant photos from our time at Elmbank Street. A great evening was had by all until, regretfully, departing on carriages at midnight. Until next time – Sursum Semper!”

It was wonderful to welcome you all back and we hope you had a fantastic time.
