HSOG Spotlight: Oliver Perry (Class of 2011)
As part of our HSOG Spotlight campaign, we caught up with Former Pupil, Oliver Perry, from the Class of 2011.
After leaving The High School of Glasgow, Oliver moved to New York to study business at New York Institute of Technology on a football and athletics scholarship. Midway through his studies, after picking up a hip injury that would require surgery, Oliver transferred to Sydney University and from there he graduated with an International Business degree. He was then sponsored by a media company as a Creative Strategist, eventually specialising in digital video content, allowing him to continue to work and live in Australia.
Four years later Oliver received his Australian permanent residency and moved to London to set up a film production studio for media company, Four Communications. After a year in London he had the opportunity to move back to Sydney when he was offered the role of Brand Strategist with video sharing social network, TikTok. Today, Oliver works with companies like Apple, Universal and Nike to come up with creative campaigns to promote their brands on TikTok.
