Tom Taylor, a member of the class of 2014, will be running 250km across the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan this October to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of good friend and classmate, Murray Stewart.

Murray was an amazingly energetic and humorous person who loved an adventure. The Teenage Cancer Trust supported Murray through his toughest days, providing him and his family with outstanding support.

Tom and a friend will brave the 30 degree heat of Jordan’s sands on a 5 day, 250km run across the sand dunes of the Wadi Rum desert, and will climb a total height of 2,522 metres. Their shortest day’s running will be 41km (marathon) and the longest will be 68km!

Tom is hoping to raise £8,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust…but we are quite sure that with a little encouragement from the High School community, we can help Tom smash this target!
